Been doing real well at Pym. this year on walleye this year. The past couple times out been limited to 2 or 3 fish. Why do the fish stop bitting this time of year? Trolled, drifted, used lead, etc. etc.. Tried Mosquito on 7/22 morning all over the lake and managed 2 walleye.

Why do these lakes stop producing??

I think the water being 77 degrees puts a damper on things. It seems when the temp gets above 65 degrees they slow down.

This has been my first year to fish both of these lakes. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the warm weather. We caught lots of fish in the spring. Now, like you said, its usually about 2 to 4 each trip. There in there though, and they still will bite. It's just not going to be as easy as it was in the spring.
