Lake of the woods was FANTASTIC!!! Garden Island and the South of the Angle were producing limits of Walleye. We released two 27", one 29", and one 31" during Thursday and Friday fishing. Now is the time to GO. Black and white raplas were the best. Gold and black next. Good luck FISHING...Kaz
How deep and did you have to use snap weights? Mid lake or near shore?
Red: We were in 29'/31' most of the time, with the plug 10yds behind the weight, with the weight down at 4' above the bottom. Maybe a mile or two off shore. there is Starren Shoal on the south of Garden and we worked that hard. We also were off of Rooty Point, but the fish were smaller and we caught more Saugers there. It was a great two days of fishing, but later Friday the troops started comming in. I was monitoring channel 12, the Sportman's boats on Saturday from the house and they were gripping about all of the boats and how hard it was to navaigate around them pulling plastic. It looked like Mille Lacs on opening, late Friday. We loaded up and left for home on Saturday, so we didn't go out. Good luck FISHING...Kaz
