This upcoming weekend, my 20 and 16 yr old cousins and I are going on a trip to Mitchell Bay. I am 16 yrs old and was wondering what we needed to get accross the Canadian border? Also does anyone know how much a nonresident 3 day license costs? Is anyone catching any walleye up at Mitchel Bay, and what on? Your help is very appreciated.

Take a picture ID such as a driver license, and a notarized copy of your birth certificate and you will have no problems getting through customs either direction. Many states offer an ID card for people with no drivers license, such as minors. If the minors have no state issued ID, then take along Social Security cards with their birth certificates. Hope this helps.

The i.d. has been covered. You want info on Mitchells bay, go to the "BASS HAVEN CANADA" website. It is out of mitchells bay. More than likely they are way out in the lake 5-6miles. The muskie fishing has been fantastic this year, also the bass.

In general, you're going to find that the waters around Mitchell's Bay are a bit shallow for 'eyes this time of year. Surface water temps are approaching 80 degrees with this recent period of heat. If you're able to run, try a little south around St. Lukes, or even farther around Stoney Point or the Belle River. The area 3-4 miles SE of the St. Clair Light has always been a good summer walleye spot for us.

Posts on the Bass Haven web site have been saying that they are getting walleye in the Johnson Cut. You can print maps of Mitchell bay from the web site. www.basshavencanada.com
