View Full Version : Dipseys, rings and the good glue
A while back, I saw a post about the best kind of glue to use for keeping the rings on dipsey divers. Since I am suffering from D.N.F. disease, I cannot remember what kind was best. Thanks. By the way,dnf = ##### near fifty!

The product is called GOOP and is available at craft stores and I saw it once at Murray's Auto Discount Parts.

I used JB Weld to permanently attach the rings 2 years ago. Its a 2 part epoxy. They are still on. The dipseys have been dropped, kicked and bounced around in the boat, and show absolutely no signs of coming off. Good luck!

I have made a suggestion to the company to just build them to size. Same as if it had the ring on, since most people I know (including myself) never take the rings off. They were not aware that they are hardly ever taken off and said they would look into to cost and other technicalitys. Maybe if we all push it we can eliminate this pain in the Bum problem.

Actually, I do take the rings off the small ones. I try to reduce the drag. I am a light liner and need to reduce the line pressure. I rarely use the large size.

I usually run a four dipsy spread, and I run one or two of them without the rings.I like covering different water depths.I like having that option with the rings.
