With temperatures cooling down to the 80's fishing has picked up a little but it's still tough. There are fish being caught from Point LaGrace North to the Artesian Well. Jones Bay is producing a few fish and so is Black Hawk. Most of the fish are being found between 20-30 ft of water. The best bait seems to be crawlers or minnows behind a bouncer and spinner. Cranking has also been working. Yesterday I got mixed reports. I talked to some boats with anywhere between 15-25 fish and some who caught less than five.

I would just like to thank you for all your reports.
I fish Oahe often and like your updates. You are doing
a nice favor for all fisherman. Information from the Pollock/
Mobridge area is not as easily available as the Pierre area.
Keep up the great service and many thanks

I was just curious if it is possible to catch the possesion limit on this lake? I'm thinking of a trip out there in the next year or two instead of the annual Canadian experience. Is there a slot limit or min/max size restrictions? Any other info would be appreciated.

The limit on Oahe this year is 14 a day. 42 in possesion. The size limit 4 walleyes 15 to 18 inches long, but only one walleye over 18 inches. The other ten have to be under 15 inches. They have not said if they are going to keep this limit for next year or not. Should know by October.
