Since Friday fishing has been slow. There wasn't a lot of boats out this weekend but the ones I talked to had pretty tough luck. The last few days the temp has been above 90 degrees with very little wind. The GF&P was test netting on Monday. Their tests showed an abundance of walleye. A higher population than the rest of Lake Oahe. They also found a high population of baitfish. This is good for the fish but not so good for the fisherman as these fish are not hungry. As the temperatures cool down the bite will pick up. The catfish are still biting. If you like catfish it is a good time to be here. There's been a number of cats caught over 10 lbs. Thats it for this week, hope things pick up by the time I talk to you again.

I think they really put their foot in their mouth now. The fish are full and there is a abundance of bait fish?????? I'm definatly not trying to stir the pot here, but wheren't the large limits because of a lack of baitfish, and an abundance of starving walleye? OOPS..... P.S. this is not intended to offend anyone, especially the good folk at West Pollack Resort. Thanks for all the great reports thoughout the year :) Jeff
