Den,
How has the last few days been for action/size. Is it worth the trip from Chicago this early. Thinking about late this week.
Any help would be appreciated!

I would guess that it's a toss up between Green Bay and the Bays De noc or Huron. There is a good concentration of fish between Vernilion and Huron now and I know that a number of good sized walleye are coming in now.
Both day and night patterns are working. Don't get hung up on the night thing. It works but day bite are good throught tThanksgiving. See ya. Budman
There have been some fish taken the last few days between vermilion, and huron. it really hasnt taken off yet, but they are there. one thing though, be sure to stay away from the area that Bud is fishing(lol). i did get out the other day, and the guy that i was with has been doing pretty darned good, but low and behold Bud was in the area, and he put a Pat Mc Mannus jinx on the whole area. so we just wont tell Bud that the fish went a ways west to get away from him(lol). give me a call and i may be able to give some insight on the fishing this weekend. the possibilities of showers is there as of today(for the weekend), but it is supposed to be warm, so that should be a south wind of somekind, but the evenings have been producing some east winds the last few days. 1-888-855-9032. i hope this helps. good luck and good fishin.

Heading to Huron in October for the first time. Understand that Reef Runners are one of the most productive baits. What are the best colors and are the deep Thundersticks a good producer? Appreciate the info-thanks-Tom
The better colors last year were gold clown, fried chicken, rainbow, eriedescent, easter egg, cheap sunglasses, silver/blue, perch, firetiger.the problem is it just may change, but those are the basic colors that worked . the deep diving t-sticks should work too. good luck and good fishin.

Den,
Since you guys weenied out so early, I hung in and got my limit of eyes in 30 minutes as it got dark. I was at the perch spot off Beaver and 1/2 mile east of that. Got'em on dipseys and riggers. See ya bro...Budman
Den, notice how there are no witnesses to Bud's limit catch? I'll just bet they were all 7 pounds and up. What do you think?? LOL. good job Bud. The "after 4:30 thing" doesn't get talked about as much as it should!!
