View Full Version : New 10 lb+ Picture
Just curious how big those walleyes "Heather" is holding are? They look well over the 12-15 lb range. Just curious on how those might stack up to state records and that.

I e-mailed the guide for "Heather", he said the walleye in the top picture was 17lbs. Looks even bigger to me, never seen a gut full of eggs like that. If that don't get the adrenalin goin, nothing will! FYI- WA State record is 18lbs. 12oz. Oregon record is 19lbs. 15oz. I think they were both caught in the same section of water, just weighed in on different sides of the river.

They just certified a new state record here in Virginia, 15lbs. 15oz. Not big by other standards but I wouldn't mind one that size. BTW, it was caught in the New River.

Were are these photos at? Are they in the 10 pound club photos, and if so under what listing?

I don't know, but I'll check with the Fish & Wildlife folks and try to find out. I will post the info to this thread (if it is still alive) when I know.

Below McNary dam. I think it is referred to as the John Day pool.

Actually the Oregon record was caught below John Day dam by Arnold Berg, The Washington record was caught at Irrigon, below McNary dam by Mike Jones, If I remember right both fish were taken in 1991...
