How the fishing been in NE SD? Does anyone know if the state of SD put a boat landing on Bitter lake? Can you tell me where it is at if they did? Planning a trip next weekend to the Webster area. Thanks in advanced for any information.

Two of us was there on Sunday 9-9-01 and we had a great day. Caught six keeper walleye and seven Northerns ranging from 3 1/2 pounds to a 12 pounder. Along with the good fishing I personally caught barb wire on 5 occasions ( good fighters ). The boat ramp will cost you a five spot but well worth it when you look at the other boat ramp. Good luck and be carefull, I have been told there is a submerged rock pile on the east side as you come out to the main lake, after that it is just good common thinking. good luck.

As far as I know, there is still no state ramp on the lake, the one that was there last year was trashed by the ice. I've use the one owned by Fisherman's Village a couple times, and though it's a little narrow, it worked fine. Be careful going out of the north end, watch for trees everywhere, I'm sure you'll catch some walleyes, it's been pretty good all year.

Good luck,
