I spent 7 Hours trolling the Huron area covering the area between Huron and Vermillion from 25ft to 40ft but to no avail.... Until the water temp drops another 5-8 degrees I think you would get better results if you fished around the Islands by Pt Clinton. Good Luck getting those Eyes!

there have been a few eyes being taken in the late hours of daylight. as the water cools it should be better, it is close . give me a call before you come and i will tell you what is going on then, but it should be going in the next few days if the nights stay cool. good luck and good fishin.

We were out yesterday (9/17) only got a few walleye. We were west of the islands, west of Green Island. Further north the water is loaded with grass. Lots of good walleye marks but its a little early. Water temperature was around 70 degrees on top and 69 on the bottom, so it has not changed much. I would suggest going for perch which are really hot around Kelley's Island or waiting a couple of weeks for walleye.

Perch fishing was really hot north of West Sister Is. sat and Sun. No reports of any good eye fishing that area.
