I know that this is the time of year that most of us lake erie fishermen have been looking forward to, but lets not forget this. Be Safe, there may well be less boaters out there now, make sure that you have a radio, or cell phone with you. remember there are areas that a cell wont work on erie. make sure that you leave a planned time to be back, and a general area that you are going to fish with somebody.A buddy system of 2 or 3 boats is a good way to fish, if not, try to hook up with somebody on the radio in the area, and keep in contact with them. around huron and vermilion we usually use channel 79, i monitor it in the shop while i am there. these fish are fantastic when it gets going, but NO FISH is worth a life . have a good trip when you go, but dont take chances. the water temperatures are dropping now, as well as the air temps. good luck and good fishin. see you at the fall outing.
