Watching some fishing shows yesterday & one had a report of a 20Lbs Walleye caught in Manitoba but before it could be verified they ate the dam thing.Did anybody else see this.Watched another show where they landed a 15lbs Walleye I think from the red river in Manitoba(they let it go).

I haven`t heard of the 20lber - but 15lbs is not out of the question - I`ve seen a few that are around that size.

I released a 15.9 in 97 on the Red & I have seen a 17 released.
From another very reliable sorce I have heard of 19's also released on the Red, so a 20 is very possable.

Yeah, I saw that on the "Complete Angler". A possible new record and they ate it before it could be verified.
Last year, the Fish and Game here in Montana netted two walleyes over 20 lbs. The first was 20.15, the second was 23.12. The lake is Canyon Ferry close to Helena.
