Post Spawn Blues

Excluding explosives, what does everyone use to catch a few fish during post spawn? Am I better off just fishing for Trout the next three weeks?

My best luck for that time period is to fish at night for the left over, straggler males, using jigs or crankbaits, in and around the spawning areas. In the day, I have done best lindy rigging with a long leader and minnows, in shallow water flats areas not too far from the spawning area. It is tough, but they can be caught.
