Just got back from the first FLW event of the year. 175 anglers and top prize was $100,000. David Fritts won and Kevin Van Dam was second with another Michigan angler Kim Stricker third. I wanted to see how they were as a group compared to the walleye anglers. What I found was very little difference. They had good days and bad and lost fish and made excuses. The biggest difference I found was that they pretty much worked alone. Bounced ideas off each other in small 2-3 man groups but none of the check sharing and precise info sharing common on the Walleye trail. When asked about live bait, they said the angler should catch the fish to be the best angler, not a wiggly worm or lively minnow. Interesting. Just thought I would share that with my fellow walleye anglers. Plus it was 70 out down here in Okeechobee Florida.
