You can't go wrong with Fuji. However, go at least with Hardoloys. Better still is the SIC (silcone carbide). If funds are an issue, then go Hardoloys on the guides, but SIC tip. If funds are not that bad, then go SIC all the way.

If you really got money to blow, then go with the Gold Cermets.
With Gold Cermets, it is kind of funny that you can spend more on the guides than some blanks.

Never used the Fuji guides, but I have the Silicon carbide guides on my rod, and they are really nice, virtually no resistance, and although I use fireline, they aren't very loud.

Personally, I can't wait until I am looking at a real Umpire because that will mean that baseball season has started and spring is here :-) I really do think that Scott would prefer to be referred to as a moderator though. Tough Guy know main man at Walleye Central very patient man to put up with Tough Guy. Tough Guy refer to him as Mr. Moderator before, not sure he like that, bring up my bat my ball rules. Seem more like owner/umpire to Tough Guy. Tough Guy think Walleye Central almost as fun as ice fishing, try to stay on good side of owner/umpire, so can teach world how to be more like Tough Guy.

I think that RG is playing on a slippery slope. Never know where this is going to end. I learned at a young age that you have to be very carefull with redheads. I dated a few and to generalize I think that RG is going to be in for an interesting Walleye Cental evening if she replies. However one of the reds I dated would lie in wait and then tear out your jugular when you least expected it. Either way RG I hope you have paid up insurance.
