I am going to buy some of the Loomis Walleye Series rods for trolling with braided & lead core line, the WTR940C or the WTR941C. I know what Lommis recommends for trolling with braided line but I would like to here from fishermen that have used these rods first hand.
Thanks, Wall-i

I'm at a loss in trying to figure out why so many folks seem to think the high $$ rods are needed for trolling. Am I missing something? (about rods, that is -- vetspet, don't answer.)

I love my 941's and use them for both fireline&leadcore!
P.S I use these rod #1.Because I can afford them
#2.Because the action is better
#3.Because they double as bottomboucer rods
#4.Because you get what you pay for
I have cheaper trolling rods, the are cumbersome, heavy,an have litte versetility. There are some desent rods that I use for planner boarding, but I can not stand hanging on to them for more than 10min.
GOOD LUCK,WHACK SOME GIANTS
I hate to go off on a tangent - but can you educate me as to where the Walleye Series fits in? Close to IMX but not above quality wise? Seems a little less fast but a few dollars cheaper than IMX.
My understanding is that there is no difference in the modulus ect. They did make the butt longer, and move the reel seat closer to the blank. They also did something with the eyes but I cannot remember what.
