whats best??

just read the pros&cons on planer boards-inline vs big boards.seems the drifters and trollers are at odds on whos right or wrong! i'm just starting out and don't want to get in any bodys way.what would you suggest for a beginer?? thanks for any input.GLEN&SONS

in-line boards, easier to control, cheaper to start with, can use most existing equipment.

I have both types on my boat, but to be completely honest with you , since i have gotten used to the in line boards , the bigger boards have not been used very much at all. the smaller boards are easier to learn with, and easier to control, and as stated, you dont need to have any special set ups for it. good luck and good fishin.
