The guys have been nailing the walleyes in the river at Maysville and Port Huron whipping/still fishing/jerk fishing. One guy got his six fish limit in 26 minutes last Friday night. I went out trolling last night from 7:30 til 9:00 and caught one and lost one (St. Clair). I was marking quite a few fish.

I fished the lower end of the Middle Channel this morning, vertical jigging with crawler and stinger hook. Three of us caught 20 walleye(released 2) between 15 and 20 inches. All between 8am and 10:30am. No really big fish, but some nice eaters. This fall fishing is great - not a single cruiser or cigarrette boat the whole morning!
any more info?

Using 5/8 ounce fireball jigs with #8 stinger hooks. I use an electric motor to control the drift (need line as near vertical as possible), but it was flat calm this morning and didn't really need the electric much. Basically, the idea is to use the electric motor to account for wind, and keep the boat drifting at the same speed as the current. We caught all our fish between 15 and 20 FOW.
