Walleye fishing is good overall on the bay. On a good day we are catching between ten and fifteen walleyes, on a slow day its three to five fish, but always big fish. Right now the average walleye is between 27 and 28 inches. We are working mainly the outer bay, but the can run has worked on an occasion. This is one of the few areas that we have taken numbers of eating walleyes. The top baits have been purple prism AJs, DJs, gold prism/black back/ pink belly AJs, gold prism DJs, Deep Little Rippers in chrome/blue, trailer trash pink and easter egg. The fish are in the lower level of the water column. I am running 9.9-1.1 mph on my Raytheon GPS. This past week we have seen an increase in marking of pods of bait fish. The water temperatures are between 42-44 degrees. I don’t expect that we will see water temperatures rise again, Green Bay itself is about 44 degrees. A good night bite seems to be setting up. I will be giving it a run, I’ll report on how its going later.Good Luck, Doug
