I am very intrigued by this lake but have had little luck fishing it. I hear they do well at night. Does anyone have any information they are willing to share? I would appreciate some tips regarding this lake! Thanks

If you are talking about the Wolf Lake at the IL. IN. border I caught my biggest open water bass of my life there when I was a kid. Caught it at ice-out March 3 1971. Caught it at cut in middle dike south side throwing a 2/3 oz. Beetle Spin. 22 1/2" and 6.5 lb. I was 13 then!

They used to catch northerns on edge of willow beds, "bass too" back then. I have not fished it since 1976 but most anglers there concentrate on the rough fish fishing the bottom.

Vet's bait shop can probally tell you more. Lance Yates.

Footdoc, I am the secretary for the Illiana Walleye Club and we always include Wolf lake in our fishing reports. Last month we did very well at night all over the lake. Come check out our meeting Thursday at the Lansing VFW; time 7pm.

Sorry, just got back from minnesota and it usually takes me a few days to get back to reality down here. IT'S EASY TO LOOSE TRACK OF TIME UP THERE.
