Got on order a Ranger 620DVS, but need to know how to mount 4 downriggers (Cannon Mag 10). Thought about (refer to Cabelas Spring 2000 Vol.2)(page 71)getting 4 of the flush mount rod holders & (page 65) item H Universal Gimbal, is it even possible to use the flush mount rod holders or are the gunwales full of foam? Or (page 64) 90" Downrigger Mounting Bar. Has anyone seen any of these on one, or a better idea? Please & Thank You for your HELP!!

I have two Cannon Digitroll 4's on my 620. I put them in the two back corners. Where the rubber pieces are. The gunnels are filled with foam so you may want to have them string any cables you need. They do put a piece of wood on the top side of the gunnel and then completely surround it with glass. Wood is still the best thing there is to screw into. You may also want to give them locations where you are going to mount things and they will reinforce the area more so than they normally would.
Email me if I didn't explain that very well.

I have a Ranger 680C Side Console and am wondering on mounting my downriggers as well. I have a couple of cannon unitrol 6's and was looking at the rear corners as well, until I found out that it won't be easy to reel them in. So I was looking at mounting them on a board with an attached rod holder bracket and bolt holding the board into place. What do you think? Will this be a good setup or will I end up blowing the sides out on my glass? There is nothing on the back of this area. Or should I just mount them on the rear corners to?
Thanks for the Info,
