Well walleye anglers, heres the scoop, as I know it.
On February 3rd I will be marking the road out of Eddy's with signs directing you to 7 mile flats. I figure that is the best place to start. I will be out there just fishing away, waiting to greet others that tend to show-up. I was hoping to be able to pass the word out that we would be visited by some of the local pros, guides, and or local "hot sticks" to share some of their knowledge with us, but that seems to have gone by the wayside. Yet, with all of us that call ourselves "walleye anglers", I would guess that there will be plenty of talk about the subject of walleye fishing. I am hoping to have some stuff, hats, shirts, decals, etc., from Walleye Central. Not sure how that will work, have to talk with Carol Nelson from WC on Friday night at the Walleye Expo to see about that. The evenings events will be of your own choosing, Eddy's has a great place to eat, and lounge, or there is the casino up the road a few clicks. I and my partner would like to get together with others to do a little "angler" bonding, and just sit around and talk fishing.
On Sunday the 4th, you are on your own. I will be fishing most of the day, place yet to be determined.
I just hope this rather loose agenda has disappointed anyone, and also hope that maybe if enough of us do get together and make this a somewhat fun event, we can make it an annual event with an expansion of the agenda.
Hope to see all of you on the ice, and if you can't make both days, just stop by and say "Hey".
Good Fishin'

P.S. I will have some brats on the grill and a couple of boxes of brew(pops) in the cooler to share with whom ever is around at about noon on Sat.
