Reports are that there has been ice in the river buy the launch for almost 2 weeks now. The mouth of the river is open water and some guys are night fishing from the pier with little success.Hope this helps.

With temps over freezing and sw winds, I was thinking of trying to get up there this weekend, but hey, I'm crazy. If the ramp is locked with ice then it is hopeless. I'm going to call Den tomorrow.
There is still ice around the ramp at walskis, it goes just past the Pillsbury plant. there was a barge that went through it yesterday and broke it up, but it froze again last night, i dont know how thick it is right now, but there is ice there. it may be broken by next week, the lake looks decent, but there is some ice along the shorelines here, it is skim ice. the temps are supposed to be above freezing all of next week, so it may be the outside chance that we can get out next week. we need "Little Smoker" to come and break it open for us (lol). if i hear of anything i will post it. if anybody does go out anywhere, please BE CAREFUL, and be safe. good luck and good fishin.
