Went to Long Pond today in Rochester NY. Good 4-5" of ice. Caught aprox 75-100 perch between my son & I of which 27 were keeper size.
I think I may have caught the smallest perch of my life (41 yrs) measured in at a whopping 2 1/2". All in all it was great to finally get out on hard water.

Water-wolf. I too was at Long Pond. Man, it was tough to fish two rods. I had 7 or 8 doubles. I was there from about noon 'til 3. I figure I caught close to 100 fish and kept about 25. That's more than enough for a meal and it took almost an hour to clean them. I agree there were alot of dinks, but I did manage a couple of 9"-11" fish. I was down to Honeoye on saturday. They're fishing the north end about half a mile and the south end about the same but only at the shore at the south end. The entire lake is frozen and if it stays cold, I figure it'll be safe this coming weekend.

Pete,
Dang it...I forgot to look for your jeep.....I would be interested in fishing Honeoye sometime. Never fished thru ice. Please keep me posted. Thanks.
