Is any thing happening on saginaw bay yet perch or walleye and how much ice is there? thanks in advance..

went perch fishing sat morning early,off hale road. lots of people. 4-6 inches of good ice as long as you didnt get out to far. still open water in some spots farther off shore. i only caught 1 fish, but my buddy caught 15 about 6-9 inches long. people 50ft from us were catching bucket fulls.
