Has anyone gotten anything going thru the ice on either Indian Lake or Grand Lake St. Marys? I heard of some decent saugeye and perch fishing last winter. Thanks in advance.
Some guy's are doing good on the gills back at long. But that's about all! Some of us have been chasing the eyes with little success. Becarful if your planning a trip it looks like the lake could thaw this weekend and next week with temps from 45 to 35 and rain. Could be some hot spots if we get open water!!!!!

Thanks Buck. Rain and 50 degrees today doesn't bode well for ice.

Buckeye .. my next door neighbor Web just came in off the Ice from back in the wildlife area/Long Isle - Web said the Ice was still a solid 5"s & the shoreline ice was OK along 273 for getting out. Their is alot of water & slop on the Ice & it looks shaky to me from my home, but the sun hasn't shined today to make it worst than what it already is .. I'm not going out till it sets up again.
Here's a fishin' note from a friend I recieved last nite:
Hello ray I have been fishing indian everyday this week, I have caught alot of nice blues and a handfull of crappies. best bite has been daylite till about 10. and 1 to 2;30 in the afternoon. 1 small saugeye today. alot of small white bass, 1-14inch white bass. the bluegill have been running between 7 and 9 inches. some days spikes, mousies, or wax worms. with spikes being the best bait most of the time. I talked to a man who caught 40 crappies last wed. on hair jigs. but said he can't find them since then.
