using small planner boards and largeones on lake erie, what lines do you reccomend for walleye fishing? Thank you for any input
Dan we use 12 Berkley Big Game line, but any quality rough service line is fine. The Precision Trolling book is based on 10# XT so alot if not most use that. That is for either full size or in-lines. Mono is easier and less hastle than supelines, but if you want to run a no stretch line, I'd suggest using longer softer rods (ie. 8-1/2' downrigger rod) and backing the drags off to reduce rip offs.
