Anyboby heard any ice reports for there?

Did you guys see the Bucket Bioligists have struck again. I read in the post online that some Pike and perch have been caught at Antero.

Hey Neal, I sometimes check: www.iceflyer.com to get local Ice conditions. They are saying that the bay at Aurora has 1 to 4 inches but still open water elsewhere. This was posted on 1-12-02. When you go to the web site, you have to scroll down a little to the local Ice conditions page.

Not too surprised about the pike at Antero. They have
always found a way to come back. Just like suckers, once
they are established, the best you can hope for is to keep
their numbers under control. I have heard that perch have
been showing up at Eleven Mile for a few years but this is
the first that I have heard about them being in Antero.
Can you point me to the Post online article? Thanks
Gene

It was an article that Charlie Meyers wrote a couple of weeks ago. Just goto to Post online sports page and click on Recreation.

Odds are Aurora won't completely ice over, assuming the ice covers more then just the coves. Last week the wind blew the entire sheet off the lake. I am hoping for some cold and little wind so I can get out there and atleast catch some slimmers. The best source for information is the rangers or the store.

Did anyone venture out there this weekend (1/19-20)? If so, how was it? I was planning on going but the wife's car broke down Friday night so I was SOL for Sunday. If the word is any good, maybe this weekend, although it's pretty warm today.

All the regulars from our area are strangly silent the last two weeks. Either fishing really sucks or they are holding out on us Lou?

When I was at Cherry Creek on Saturday, some people were showing up there from Aurora. Guess some ventured out on it and caught some trout.

Caught crappie at Cherry Creek on Saturday. Trout on Chatfield on Sunday, and Perch at Boyd on Monday.

Yup. I'm working as a DJ at Shotgun Willy's.

Actually, we moved office locations and now that I have a cubicle my monitor faces the hallway and everybody can see what I'm doing, so needless to say, I'm going to have to start doing what I get paid for! LOL.

Want to go to Elevenmile on Saturday the 26th?

Eric ,

You have a job...Really... I thought that for all of the fishing you do that you were just wealthy. Now what you need to do is get married, buy a house so you can waste away all of your free time arguing with your wife....painting the house, mowing the lawn ,rapairing the roof , working on the truck etc. You know ....like us poor people who don't live in Highlands Ranch.....hehehehehe

Someone from Pueblo West shouldn't talk. Highlands Ranch is like a ghetto compared to Pueblo West. Plus I live in Englehood, where it's easier to get crack than anything else.

Geez, thanks for the offer. There is nothing better I can think of than sitting on a frozen lake dreaming of pheasant hunting. Fact is this is the last weekend of hunting in Kansas and I am headed there.

After this weekend (officially ends the hunting season) I am going to be getting back out on Pueblo more. Maybe a jigging or slabbing outing is in the works.

My slabbing arm is in good condition, but my other arm that is used for drilling holes is kinda hurting. Maybe it needs a rest?

My boat is out in a quanset in Fleming. DKooser is gonna be done hunting pretty soon, so I imagine he's getting the itch for some fishing.

Club is better than Penthouse. I don't read the articles and it isn't artwork!
