Im headed up to Lake of the Woods on Sunday. I was wondering what the best lures and depths have been. Thanks for the info in advance.

The weather has been very unstable and the barometer has been all
over the place since last thursday. Fishing hasnt been the greatest
but it certainly could be worse. Here is a quick swing around the
lake.
Pine Island has been either real good or real bad depending on the
depth the fish bite that day. The west end has been pretty good
but the ice is not good and you dont want to drive any farther than
the lone pine tree (and that is very easy to find)you will have to
hoof it from there and keep checking ice thickness. On the east
end of pine houses are now out to 32 feet of water and fish are
somewhere from 10 to 32 feet each day.
Zipple area was real good over the weekend, that will be hit and miss
too but it was a hit Saturday and Sunday.
Long Point has bad ice like always but fish are biting there too.
Northeast of the Twin Islands is supposed to be very good but I
couldnt figure out how to get there.
Bablers road was shut down again as the big crack along the shore
opened up after the weekend. They should get it back in shape by
the weekend. It has been a struggle for the Bablers this winter
with cracks and slow ice, a year with little snow like this should
be a windfall for them...not so this year.
I am not sure about the Warroad area other than the ice is very
rough and there are lots of breakers and cracks (just like always).
If the weather would settle down the fish could really start to go.
Right now, you can do well if you get in the right areas
Good luck
