Shore or pier info

I'm heading to Huron for work on 1/27 to 2/1 - i was hoping someone could tell me if any wallys are being caught from the pier or shoreline. Sure would be nice to combine work & play ( with work paying the room & board ) - don't know if I should pack equiptment or not. Thanks, DAN

Ive been going every friday night since oct. tried the pier,nickle plate. tried going early and staying late. tried going late and staying til 4am and never had a hit. Talked to guys there but never to any one that caught a fish from shore this year. there have been a couple posted catches,but few and far between. and have heard of none in over a month.But if your going to be working close by maybe you'll be the lucky one to post some encouraging info. good luck Al

Well guys my news is no better than anyone elses. I have put in about 90 hrs of fishing time in the last 2 months. The only thing I caught was a seagull and it was under size so I had to cull it back. Better fishing ahead I hope.
