Has anyone been doing any good on the Ohio River in the Ohio Area??
Not to my knowledge Don. Was on the river Thu. below Willow Island Dam and the Marietta area. Zippo! The Hannibal Locks has been lousy lately also. Where you at?
Southern Tuscarawas County. East central Ohio
Around New Philly? You got some real good fishing in your neck of the woods. The Wahonding River is a real good place for eyes and smallies. Havent been over there in a few years, but is good fishing above Coshocton. I havent heard from anyone over on the Muskingum. Lot of good eye fishing over there. Either the people over that way are taking lock-jaw, or they dont come to this site. Got a cousin who lives over in a little town called Tuscarawas. Jim Powell. Dont think he does a lot of fishing anymore. Fair weather type.:-) Cya!

Hannibal and Willow Island have both been terrible lately. Peaked in November and getting worse ever since. It is up and red now, so it will be a while. I didn't like the way it started looking in December, and if past years hold true, the next few months don't look good.

Hey Chamos, DTF, where you guys from. Im down here in New Martinsville. Cant figure the fish down here this winter. Seems like the fish shut down just before xmas. But you go North, up where Tom and jb are, they're stacked. Maybe that Tom, chums the area.:-) Glad to hear there are other crazies down my way. There's a few local boys down here that regularly test the waters down here, but probably dont have xcess to comp. 3 old farts down in New Matamoras that are usually out rain or shine. Have a big Fisher. Pretty good boys. Carry a big 20gal bottle of propane. With 2 big heaters aboard. Been a few times I wanted to jump in their boat.Ha Let us know when the bite picks up.

The 3 old farts you see all the time are my Dad's uncle and my 2 neighbors. I also live in New Mat. I think I saw you a few weeks ago. Real windy day on the weekend, we were in an orange/gray hydrosport. I caught a couple as sson as we pulled in, but I HATE the wind!!! Those guys are my chat-room for the river. They are out all the time. It's been tough. Hit the humps above the bridge near the end of November and all was well, then... who knows? I've seen it before. Still have another chance if the water gets right. One guy last week was out 3 hours before the water went up, not a nibble.
Hey Chamos, didnt mean to call your Dads uncle an Old Fart.lol I see them guys out a lot in some of the meanest weather. They're always having a good time seems like. Like Tom says, thats what its all about. And if you keep an eye on them,(skews the pun) they definately jerk they're share.:-) There's another guy down your way in New Mat. that goes some. Butler's his name I believe. Got a new Lund a year or two ago. Seems like a pretty nice guy. Fish the Muskingum any? I wanted to go up around Lukes Shute and see if they're getting any. Seen some pretty nice eyes come out of there. See ya on the water!

Russell, Don't mind calling them old farts, as I'm going to call them that from now on ;) Hit Devola a couple times early. Don't get on up the Muskingum any more than that. Maybe see you at the creek this weekend.
