All I need is a days notice Tom, and I'm outa here. Specially if its ketchin fish. Buddy of mine in Indiana use to give me a call when the ice was on and he was ketchin 8-10in gills. I'd fire out of here like I was shot out of a cannon. Brought back 5 gal of gills on a two day outing. Guys thought I was nuts, till I told them 5 gal of filets.:-) Im ready anytime Tom, Im retarded, I mean retired.:7

I have seen your name several times posted at this site. I am assuming you are from the Pittsburgh Area. My question to you is as follows
"Are their any walleye clubs in the Pittsburgh Area.?"

Based on Tom's report on Saturday I didn't touch the rivers this weekend. Sunday 4 of us went up to 20 mile creek (last creek before entering NY State) Steelhead fishing. We fished from around 9:00am to 3:00pm. Had about 25 hook ups between us and landed about 15 of those. Was a beautiful day to be out in the woods / creeks, no other anglers. Russel I've seen several comments from you regarding trout fishing. These steelhead are awesome fish to catch. Average size 7 or 8 lbs. Many fish 10 lbs plus. They are very powerful fish that fight like #####. It can take 5 to 10 minutes per fish to land them. We use 6 lb main line and tie off 4 lb leader material, no. 14 or no. 16 hooks, very very very light tackle for such big fish. If river is shot for the next couple of weeks I might give Pymy a try. One of my fishing buddies has a cabin near Snod Grass boat launch. Tom and JB keep us posted about Pymy conditions. Chris

Tom & Walleye Chop:

Thanks for answering. I'll look into the clubs. My main thrust in fishing are eyes. I also like to keep a few now and then for the pallet.
