Joe,
Try giving Den a call at the Sportsman's Outpost in Vermillion 1-888 855 9032. He can probably help you.
Good Luck,

Best bet is the Mill Hollow Reservation on the Vermilion, part of Lorain Cty. Metro Parks. Plenty of access and parking. I like parking at far north end of lot down in the valley, and fishing north towards the lake. Can fish both the river and a small oxbow that comes off the river and them reconnects. Take Rt. 2 west of Elyria to the Sunnyside exit. You'll cross over Rt.2, and will come to a stopsign. Turn right, go about 1/4 mile to Sunnyside Rd and make a left. Go to where sign tells you 'Mill Hollow Park' and turn down the hill (real steep!!) into the valley.
River still might be dirty today (Monday) but with cold weather and snow, things should freeze and river should be o.k. by Wednesday or Thursday. Also have had some good reports from guys fishing the Black River, just below the Cascade Falls in Elyria, AND the Cuyahoga river in vicinity of Rt. 82 bridge. Good luck!!
P.S. Make sure you ask for permission if you plan to venture onto private land.
As of today, Monday, the 4th, the river was still very dirty, and high. it will probably be another week before it is decent again. call me anytime about the river. 1=888-855-9032. good luck and good fishin.

Check www.stealheadsite.com. It has a message board similar to this one. You'll get more than what you're looking for. They always have Vermillion reports. Tell'um that Bubba K sent ya!
http://www.steelheadsite.com/reports/ohio/ will give you the "fishing tails" and reports. Most are accurate, but keep the salt handy. To find how fishable the river is, check the flow data link at the top of the page. I've found the best conditions are when the river has 100-200 cubicft/minute of flow.
I fish the river regularly and if you have any questions, e me personally . agency@sanduskyohio.com
