HEY TOM where you been? haven't heard from you they getting any bigger at hpd ? jim

been laid up here, i had surgery on one of my knees so i,m sidelined for a few more days, when i do get back out i,m headin down to the Ohio river around leetsdale and the emsworth area i got some firsthand info that the bigger eyes have moved in close ( lots of em ) and the sauger fishing is unreal size and numders, i knew this would happen it was a ? of when, so if you guys want me thats where i,ll be}>

Hay, Didnt hurt your casting arms eh? I got some crutches, I'll come get ya and load you up in the barge.:-) Is it all shore fishing at Leetzdale? How long ya figure you'll be laid up? Might give HPD a rest without you there jerkin their lips.:7 Hope ya heal up soon. Gonna give Hannibal one more shot down here. Bound to pick up sooner or later. Went after those green fish last weekend for two days. Blanked both days. Sure hope I can learn how to ketch em before tournament time.:-)

shore fishing is great down there but you can also launch a boat at the public launch about a mile down the road.}>

Fished HPD saturday 3/2/2002. Launched at 13th street. Fished from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. 4 of us on my boat. Caught about 20 fish. Mostly Sauger. Some Walleye, 1 Crappie and 1 Rock Bass. Fished the poles near the Island. Used fat heads. Saw one other boat didn't see them catch any fish. Was kind of nasty out yesterday, I don't mind the cold. I don't mind the rain. I hate the wind. Tom I hope your knee is coming along OK. Thanks again for all your help at HPD this winter. I don't know of a better winter fishing spot around here. I've still been hitting Montour Creek in the back channel in my Waders but it has been pretty much a zero. I'm thinking it will pick up down there sometime in late March or early April. Anyway I want to get in on the wader action at Leetsdale. Do you fish Little Sewickly or Big Sewickly creek? Where do you park your car to walk in? I need to do some scouting work this week to find out how and where wader guys park and walk in. Chris

65 north make a left into Buncher industrial park go strait to avenue C make a left and go till the road ends, park on the right side ( before you cross the tracks ) you shouls be able to find your way from there

Tom I found spot at LSC. Ran into 2 shore fisherman from HPD. They didn't have any hits at all today. Was windy and cold. Found a way to get down to BSC also. Not sure if parking is allowed where I was or not. I plan to do a lot of wader fishing this spring both at Leetsdale and back channel Neville Island. Chris
