Eric and I headed to the Port around 12:30 PM today and spent two hours on shore, in the snow/sleet/rain and finished with 8 fish. One brown trout (3 lbs) and 7 coho (16-17") were all we caught. Missed several fish. I was surprised as Eric caught three coho on a clown husky jerk. He would cast that thing out and jerk it back, like a bass bait and they would hit it on the stop. The other fish came on little cleo 2/3 oz spoons in gold/maroon and silver/chartruse. We fished the high wall(south) adjacent to the fence by Bethlehem. Saw only 2-3 other fisherman who were using bobbers in the corner. Did not see much caught by the others. Overall, a good two hours and thankfully the Cabela's guide wear kept us dry and the guards did not chase us out!

FOOTDOC, I'm heading out on Monday morning and hopefully will have the same success. I was out trolling the port last weekend and did great w/ the coho. I'll be fishing from shore because my dad doesn't trust his 18 year old kid with a 27K boat, go figure. Are you going to be out? Thanks for the report.
Kill a goby, save a perch,

Grebs,
If it was going to be anywhere near 32 degrees out side I would go out. I actually have the morning open but I think the morning temp is around 0 degrees. A good day to organize paper work around the office and do some things for the wife. Good luck and be smart!
