Filled my Propane tank last August. Payed 59.9 a gal. Filled it
again the beginning of the month and payed $1.559. That was the cheapest of four dealers in this area. The highest was $1.999.
Talk about thieves!! Lets face it,were at there mercy and there isn't a dam thing we can do about it. With prices like this the local economy also suffers. Thats that much less we spent at Walmart.

Propane price is set by supply and demand and in the middle of winter the demand is high. That doesn't mean that local refineries and retail outlets are not gouging you because it cost every one else to ship here so they match the price.

The exchange program that most retail outlets have is pretty good when you want to get a new tank but you are paying for the refurbishing of your old one and that is the added cost. If you trade a new tank you are not getting your moneys worth.

A lot of people that heat with propane buy during the summer at a little over the price at the time and then it is delivered during the winter thus saving themselves some money during real cold years like this to bad we can't do that for 20#'s.

See ya all on the ice

Song to the famous Eric Clapton song, Lyrics by Taylor Mason

If you wanna cook fast, you gotta use the gas: Propane
If your burgers are cold, quit using charcoal: Propane

Chorus:
It will light
It will light
It will light
Propane

If you want your grill hot, gonna cook alot: Propane
If you want it well done, better turn the gas on: Propane

Chorus

Bar-b-q a hog or just grill a hot dog: Propane
Don't forget to turn or it's gonna burn: Propane

Chorus

If you wanna cook fast, you gotta use the gas: Propane
If your burgers are cold, quit using charcoal: Propane

Chorus

If you want your grill hot, gonna cook alot: Propane
If you want it well done, better turn the gas on: Propane

Chorus

Bar-b-q a hog or just grill a hot dog: Propane
Don't forget to turn or it's gonna burn: Propane

"go outside and play"

Supply and demand my a**!!!!!! Like they don't know its going to get cold in the winter and usage will go up. Supply and demand is set up that so when supply is low and demand is high prices climb to curb demand. And vice versa. Well, I live in Minnesota and I don't discressionarily heat my home! Its cold!! When I need it I need it. It isn't a luxury item.

Correction on my last post. I was talking about filling my 325 gallon tank. I filled two 20 lb tanks this past Oct and they cost me $9. each. As far as supply and demand, they use that as an excuse to rip you off. I can see where you would pay more in the cold months but a 150 percent increase? Common now! We also have to pay $1.47 for motor fuel. I payed $1.30 in Tulsa, Ok. yesterday. Last week I payed $1.30 sixty miles north in Mo.

filled up in Crosby just after the first of the year and paid $7 for a 20 poundeer! got very lucky! but dont you guys realize they are trading on this stuff on the open market. people buy stock in home heating fuel in the summer when the price is low and cash in in the winter when you are getting hosed! dont like it move to the ##### bahamas. SHUT UP AND FISH!
