OK I know we can get huge fish in the winter and spring whats's your opinion on slot limits on Erie eyes during these times of year.I know it's the best time to put a wallhanger up but the smaller fish are better eaters.what say the people about a limit of 1 trophy eye being a female during this time.

i think you are in possession of a good idea....not only
for the trophy aspect you mentioned...but if you cant keep
any big fish when you are catching them...sure as anything you
will hurt one and have to throw a dead one back....if you can
keep one big fish it will allow to fish for them with better
peace of mind.....check with mille lacs fishermen about floating
8 pounders...
