I have been hearing some guys talking about how you need an I-68 just to cross into U.S. waters now, and how they are not even avaible at the present time. I just got off the phone with the U.S. Department of Imigration at the tunnel and was told by 2 imigration officers that you DO NOT need an I-68 to cross into U.S. waters and that they had never even heard of the possiblity of that being an up and coming change to the regulations. They also told me that fishing in the river while jigging or hand-line and being in contact with the bottom of the river IS NOT considered being landed on U.S. ground. The phone number for the office is 1-313-568-6019. If anyone hears from any official soruce with any thing to the contrary could you please post it with the name of the soruce or email me and let me know.

Thanks and good luck

I would not worry about what people may or may not know.I have fished in US waters for 12 years & have not been checked once for anything.Only been checked in Canadian waters 2 times & that's by the lasalle launch where the cops sit & wait.

Fished Friday, caught a couple big ones on the US side but not much else.Full of eggs, just waitin to spawn.Waters temps are still about 35 degree's,even some chunks of ice around.Did not see any fish caught.
