menominee river

need some info from our friends to the north.
is the river open to fish? what boat landings are clear?
is the bay open to fish trout? (specifically, around seagull bar to the south?)
thanks for the info. i tried the phone # for the marinette bait shop but it is listed as disconnectd?????
any local info #s would be great

the river and bay are open, they are taking a lot of small walleyes in the river. good luck, walleye

I was just up there today. The water is still very cold. The river is froze from ogden street bridge to the mouth and about a half mile into the bay. Not solid but a lot of chunks flowing everywhere. I don't know where "walleye" was but out of about 10 boats up there today i seen two walleyes caught and one splake and one walleye and one splake were in our boat. I'd say another week or two depending on weather for the fishing to improve. Will be up there in a couple days and will get back. Water temp was at about 34 to 35. Too Cold. Brian B.
