Need information for Lake St. Clair.

I need information about Lake St. Clair. I have a friend who is planning a trip up there sometime in May or June. He will be fishing for Smallmouth Bass & Walleye. Looking for places or spots to fish, lures to use, places to stay - fish camps or motels, etc.. Is there a season on bass or walleye and if so, when does it come in.
Any help or information that you can give would be greatful.

Is your friend planning on fishing the Canadian or American side of the lake? There is no closed season for the Walleye on both sides but there are size restrictions. Bass seasons open near the end of June depending on what side of the lake you fish. Alot of the guys fish the Canadain side because of the lack of boat traffic compaired to the U.S. and the fishing is also better most of the time. The Walleye fishing on the Detroit River in May can be second to none. I run a guide service up here for Muskie,Walleye and Bass.
