I see many threads asking questions on bottom bouncing choices. Does anyone have experience with the Lindy Sinkers? Are they as snaggless as they advertise? Also, rivers are the only place I can troll while fishing in Wisconsin, when do you guys use rigs instead of jigging.

When I first bought a couple packages of the no-snagg sinkers last year, I was skeptical but they do work. They are much less prone to snagging than a standard lindy rig weight. They work great for drifting or slow trolling. I don't know how well they would work for faster trolling though. If I'm going to pull crank baits or spinners at a fast pace, I usually just use a bottom bouncer. Hope this helps. Bret

Nothing is totally snagless but these are about as close as you can get. I've had them since they came out and I haven't lost one yet. My first snag turned out to be a small branch that I hooked. I know a lot of people say they're too expensive but in my opinion they are worth it. I love 'em.

I agree NO-SNAGGS are great. Saves time from retying after breakoffs and money. Check out the free, downloadable NO-SNAGG brochure at;

Lindy sinker 50 cents
hook and leader? a dime
NO-SNAGG sinkers priceless
As for using three-ways on the rivers, we try jigging downstream, then make another pass through the same spot moving upstream with three-ways. Some days, fish do show a definite preference. I let the fish tell me what they want.
Hope it helps.

I agree with Scott, the Lindy Snagless Walking Sinker is not only a great product, but a great investment. You will not lose many of these keeping you in the water where you belong. They may become hung up, but are really easy to free. Use them in a drift situation or finess. They work well in all applications. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999

I also really like the Lindy N0-Snagg sinker. I often switch from a jig to a rig when I pull up stream or anchor the boat. I also like to use a light no-snagg when casting a breakline or if I want to cast out and work something back to the boat.
