>Has anybody been catching any eyes off Cleveland yet. reports of large schools of dead shad along the shore has foiled any start of the type of fishing we hade last year.

Was out perchin sun. morning no luck,talked to a guy ,said he was catchin eyes trollin ,there is a lot of dead shad ,,,there was a (shad slick) that ran out to the middle of the lake ,,I think they're feeding pretty good yet....going out next weekend will post results...good luck....FISH ON!!!!

Ran into that slick yesterday and got a big limit. Smallest 5 lbs largest 9 lbs. Slow trolling ripsticks. Perch was hot color.

thanks for the info on the nite bite ,what depths were u fishin???
Do you have any GPS numbers for those fish?..Also where is the best place to launch a boat to get on them?...Thanks...Len

Were these walleyes being caught at night or during the day? Where exactly was he trolling and at what depths? I believe you but it surprises me that their getting them this early trolling with the # of fish that are still in the heat of the spawn especially considering that he was that far east. I fish out of Cleveland fairly often in June-August but never had much luck in April-May so any info would be helpful. I've always tried to fish towards the western part of the lake in the spring.

We fished last year at this time and did very well on casting from shore and trolling at night along Cleveland, have not tried yet this year, is good to hear that someone is starting to catch some fish.
