FYI- I just got an Email from Fred at Boyd Lake. He says that the walleye fishing has been good at best, from boats. He also said that the North East side of the lake was where they were being caught. He noted that the white bass and crappie have not been hitting but should pick up at the end of the month when they start putting water into the lake.

I think the walleye at Boyd has been fairly slow. A week ago I caught a 17" walleye and a 15" white bass on bottom bouncers, but this weekend all that was biting was the 14,000 10" stocker rainbows that they put in last week. I was told they plan to start letting the water in before May 1st, so it should pick up pretty good then.
FYI... the water from Boyd comes through Horseshoe lake next door, which comes via canal from Lake Loveland, which is pumped in from the Big Thompson river, which comes from Lake Estes... and I believe Lake Estes is filled from natural runoff from RMNP.. I dont think anything is piped over from Granby... but I may be wrong.
