I have a power drive minn kota trolling motor and I have a depthfinder in the back of the boat for driving (Tiller). My question is how do you set up a depthfinder in the front with the transducer on the trolling motor and the cable running up the shaft but snug and out of the way?

I use zip ties. I know a lot of other folks use hose clamps.

The best way to rig a power drive?
1. Clamp the transducer to trolling motor with a large hose clamp.
2. Run the cable up through the handle.
3. Use zip ties to secure the cable top & bottom. Dont' attach cable to the shaft, use the small area on the housings above and below the shaft.
4. Now run the cable down through the power coil cable on the trolling motor, from the head to the base.
5. Coil up excess cable with velco strips and attach to locator.
