Would like to try some trolling in the 20' - 30' depth. I know that downriggers give you the most precise depth control, but don't want to go that route. I am looking at stuff called Dipsy Divers, Jet Divers, etc. and don't have a clue. Any help appreciated.
20 jets will take spoons to 20' w/ 100' of line out or 30' w/ 150' of line out. They can not be used with deep diving plugs. But there are lots of plugs that go 20 -28 ' unassisted. Dipsys are not needed for these depths. Do yourself a big favor and get the book Precision Trolling, it will shed allot of light on the subject.

Try bottom bouncers in the 3oz size. http://www.luhr-jensen.com will connect you to site that makes the dipsies. I think they have a chart for settings there. #20 jets will get you at 20' #30 to 30'.
