I was wondering if anyone had fished any twin city metro lakes for opener in past years and had some success?

You cant keep them but if your like me and you want to just catch some, fish the good old Mississippi.

My biggest ever walleye was taken in Minnetonka -- great lake, too crowded.

Waconia always produces when we get a chance to fish there. An opener there, however, would probably be crowded also.

Out Hwy 55 you could give Buffalo Lake a try. Round, bowl-type body of water bordered by city on half the shoreline.
