can anyone give me information on the bay next to the red cross camp? i hear it is good for bluegill (and crappie). can i wade and use a fly rod here? what time of the year and what types of presentation should i use? what is the bottom like? i have fished the south end of the lake for years, but have never fished the north shoreline. any information on this bay and any others will be appreciated. thank you.

i beleive some of the locals call that Bennett bay, i talked to a fellow this weekend who has been catching crappie and walleye there, 1/8 oz jig and minnow as far as color goes you,ll have to experiment with that or for just crappie try a minnow under a float, hope this helps some.

Rapman,
The red cross camp is an excellant area for crappie, bluegill and perch. Right now it averages 4' deep as the lake is high. There are not a lot of places to wade here the bottom is muck and weeds. Should get a good crappie bite during the spawn in the brush this year though. Bennet bay is just south of the pandanaram boat launch in ohio next to the primitive camp ground and it also is a great area for crappie. The first week of April we nailed the crappie and perch in the red cross camp bay. Small pink jigs and minnows 12" below the float.
