Erie report for Tuesday 4/16

[Boatnut]

Launched at Wild Wings Tuesday a.m. and ran out towards "B" can.
Stopped short and setup for trolling after marking some fish. We ran 4 inline boards and one , 3 color leadcore out the back. We boated 9 fish and released two. The seven we kept averaged over 8 pounds! Also had at least 3 hawgs that got off. Most productive area was on a line between "B" can and David Besse. We marked a ton of fish in the dingier water towards the reefs but most of our fish seemed to come where the dingier water met the clear water. We ran ripsticks on outside boards anywhere from 60 to 85 back and deep reefrunners 60 to 70 back on inside boards. Best color was "easter egg" in both the deep reefrunner and ripstick. My ol' faithful, "rainbow trout" produced well as did a "gold eriedescent". Eriedescent little ripper on the leadcore caught a few as well. All in all, a great day on the lake!

Went out Sunday and Monday and caught a total of 40 walleye. Eight fish over 30 inches, one was 11.8 lbs. At least another 10 fish between 28 and 30 inches. Monday our 5 largest fish would have put us around 55 lbs. Probably will never experience a fishing trip like this again. Caught all our fish on Reefrunners. Anything with green was working for us. Going to head out again this Sunday.

tues had our limit after trolling less than 1 mile(thats 12 fish)
Ended up with a 9.5 pound average. Unbelievable. I think they would have jumped into the livewell if we weren't fishing.

PlayenHookey was that report from last tuesday or did you do that well on 4/23? I'm heading up there this weekend with a couple guys that have never been to Lake Erie so I'm trying to get some real up to date info so I can try to get them right into the fish friday morning.

It was last tues the 16th. We were closer to the reefs although we caught alot of fish the rest of the week between A can and west sister

What type of program were you running out towards W. Sister? I can't decide if I should launch out of Wild Wings friday and fish out towards W. Sister or go down and launch out of Cat. State Park and fish Green and Rattlesnake Island area.

This weekend should be decent but the problem might be finding fairly clean water after today's blow. We are going to target the Island area.
