Started later than expected...early on saturday (4/20) morning like 3am wild thunderstorm met us 3/4 of the way there. Hard rain, thunder, and lightning. Heard of a second wave of storms supposivly to pass through the area, so we waited around then went and launched and hoped for the best.
Within the 1st hour had our 1st walleye in the boat (18") in about 15' of water. Took us about another 2 to get the second one. Caught a few crappies in 16' of water and one nice perch to go along with it.
I talked to a guy who limited out today 4/20 and he was fishing 19-22' of watter out from snodgrass (stockers island area) i think the whole spawning deal is over, i didnt have one nibble in 5' of water all of our fish (all 2 of them) came in deeper water.

Just got back from Pyma after fishing the Western Reserve Walleye tournament and ALOT of fish were caught!Guys caught them shallow, medium and deep depth's.All methods seemed to work, drifting jigs with m innows, crawlers, pulling spinners, and trolling.Seems the spawn is just about over, males we caught milked very little.Theres nothing wrong with this lake fellas, very healthy fish with quite a few fish over 20" being caught!Tight Lines,Kdog

Fished Pymy in the north in 5-6 1/2 ft. of water. Picked up 4 nice and fat jacks and 1 beauty girl. Spawned out. As soon as I came off the bar into 7, 8 9 ft....NOTHING!
green chartruese jighead with only a minnow, no twisters, they didnt seem interested in anything else for me.
I launched at Padanaram(oh), waited out the storm and got out on the water about 8:00. I took the wife out, she did awesome, catching the big female (19''). that is what I know...

Yes Steely 123,
My wife and I fished out of Padanaram also, took a left and fished up in the Red Cross area. We caught 7 eyes over 20+ and 4 eyes 17-19" most of them came out of water from 2-6' Just like you said when we got 7-8" not as many hits. Used jig and minnow and jig and twister,
did good on both. I saw all those boats out in the channel , just was wondering how they did? I think the problem is high water the hot and cold fronts, and most people fish thesame water and pattern every spring. I have went to classes in Wisconsin for walleyes and have found walleyes are most unpredictable, so if you are caughting them on the old way, change spots and patterns. Before Sat. I have never fished around the Red Cross area before, but reading and listing to reports I figured that would be I place to try, and it paid off.
Don't quit yet guys, ty and jig on.
