Rick,
Check out Dean Clifton's "Denied" webpage: www.cliftond.com He's got some links to places to stay around Port Clinton, Catawba, Marblehead. On Marblehead, Mazuriks is a good launch - State Park facility. Further West is Catawba State Park on the NW side of Catawba. Several people usually recommend Holliday Villiage - someone will probably post their contact info.
IF you would be interested at all my staying further West - towards the Davis Besse area (10 miles or so West of Port Clinton) I have a condo that I rent to fishermen and families that has dockage available as well as fish cleaning facilities and a swimming pool. If interested in this, check out www.freebyrdlodging.com and give me a call or send an email.
Bring big coolers!

I have stayed at Surf motel in Marblehead a few times. They have a nice fish cleaning station there and a small bait shop. Nothing real fancy but very reasonable. Here is the web site www.surfmotelohio.com
Depending on where your going to fish this may be kind of out of the way. There are a lot of closer places near Port Clinton.

I've stayed there throught the years (Surf) and did so again just a weekend ago. It's clean and dry, and you can get a hot shower. Reasonable yes. Nothing fancy, but then again, we are fishermen.

We have stayed at the Surf several times. Dan Thompson always has good fishing info.
